Phlebotomist
Alabama Medical Group has an immediate full time opening for a phlebotomist. Job duties include: performing venipuncture on patients, preparing equipment to efficiently collect blood products, assisting donors before during and after donations, inventory supplies, clean and sterilize equipment, other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma. Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
Experience: Minimum one year of phlebotomy experience. Certification as medical assistant preferred but not required.
Hours are Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Vascular and General Sonographer plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, specializing in the use of ultrasound technology to perform vascular ultrasound. This position requires a keen understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment. The Vascular Sonographer will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic evaluations that are essential for patient care.
Duties:
- Perform vascular and general ultrasound on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations by interpreting ultrasound images and providing preliminary findings to physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards and protocols.
- Stay updated on advancements in general and vascular techniques and technologies to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and sanitized according to safety regulations.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to radiology.
- Proficient understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail in conducting ultrasounds and documenting findings accurately.
- This position is ideal for individuals who provide exceptional patient care through advanced diagnostic imaging techniques.
Education: High school diploma. Associate or bachelor’s degree in sonography from accredited school.
Experience: Minimum one year of experience.
Other Requirements: Must possess RVT certification.
