Phlebotomist

Alabama Medical Group has an immediate full time opening for a phlebotomist.  Job duties include: performing venipuncture on patients, preparing equipment to efficiently collect blood products, assisting donors before during and after donations, inventory supplies, clean and sterilize equipment, other duties as assigned.

Education:   High school diploma. Phlebotomy certificate preferred.

Experience:  Minimum one year of phlebotomy experience. Certification as medical assistant preferred, but not required.

Hours are Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Phone Room Operator

Alabama Medical Group has an immediate full-time position for a phone room operator. Job duties include making patient appointments on the phone for all doctors, vendors, pharmacies, and other clinics. Responsible for answering a multiline phone in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner, which includes taking messages, directing calls where needed and scheduling appointments.

Hours are Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

R.N. – Phone Nurse

Physical Therapist

Alabama Medical Group has a full-time position opening for a licensed Physical Therapist.  Duties include rehabilitation for patients with physical disabilities, help to restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain and prevent permanent disability. Examination of patient and developing a therapy plan to restore function including in clinic and at home plans. Document patient progress, conduct examination and modifying treatments while assisting patients. Experience preferred.

Education: A minimum level of a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution offering training in this specialty.

Registered:  Must be licensed by the Board of Physical Therapy in applicable State.

Medical Technologist (MLT)

Alabama Medical Group has a full-time position for a Medical Technologist (MLT.)

Position Summary: Perform routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Responsible for operation of the laboratory.

Job duties include:

  • Perform technical laboratory functions including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology.
  • Report test results following clinic protocols alerting providers and/or nurses about abnormal results.
  • Ensure quality control in collecting specimens, ensure appropriate sampling and maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment.
  • Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness and infection control.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Hours are Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Must be flexible to schedule changes.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree or higher preferred. Medical laboratory experience preferred Certification and Licensure: MLT, ASCP, CPT or AMT certification required.

LPN

Alabama Medical Group has an immediate full-time position available for a Licensed Practical Nurse.  Must possess a state nursing license. Job duties include providing basic patient care, administering medications and treatments as directed by physician, assisting physician with clinic. LPN documents assessments, intervention, medication history, test results, and quality chart audits. Promotes wellness through patient education along with following physician directives.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Alabama Medical Group has an immediate full-time position available for a Certified Medical Assistant.  Must possess certification or registration with a national medical assistant registry.  Job duties include taking patient vitals, gathering patient medical history, injections, administering EKG’s, preparing prior authorizations, discharging patients, maintain quality benchmarks, communicating with the hall nurse and physician, inputting requisite information into EMR system.
