Physical Therapist

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs.
  • Offer treatments that help improve patients’ motion and mobility, relieve pain and prevent disability.
  • Reduce the need for medications and provide alternatives to surgery.
  • Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques.

RN Triage Phone Nurse

Alabama Medical Group is seeking a dedicated RN Triage Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Triage Nurse will be responsible for assessing patients’ conditions over the phone to determine the urgency of medical needs and provide appropriate guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with patients on the telephone and then directs them to emergency rooms or to see their physician during office hours.
  • Performs evaluations of the patient’s situation to estimate severity of illness and/ or injury and determines urgency of seeing the patient based on assessment and familiarity with patients’ condition and history. Confers with physician as needed.
  • Communicates physician advice/instructions to patients over the phone including giving information about abnormal labs and physician assessments, interventions, medication prescriptions and test results and documenting these in the EMR.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and triaging based on urgency.
  • Knowledge of primary care principles and practices.

Echo Technologist/Cardiovascular Sonographer

The Echo Technologist/Cardiovascular Sonographer plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, specializing in the use of ultrasound technology to perform echocardiograms/vascular ultrasound. This position requires a keen understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment. The Echo Technologist/Cardiovascular Sonographer will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic evaluations that are essential for patient care.

Duties:

  • Perform echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations by interpreting ultrasound images and providing preliminary findings to physicians.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards and protocols.

  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and sanitized according to safety regulations.

Education: High school diploma. Associate or bachelor’s degree in sonography from accredited school.

Experience: Minimum one year of experience.

Other Requirements: Must be RCS accredited (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) Must possess RVT certification.

Phlebotomist

Alabama Medical Group has an immediate full time opening for a phlebotomist.

Job duties include: performing venipuncture on patients, preparing equipment to efficiently collect blood products, assisting donors before during and after donations, inventory supplies, clean and sterilize equipment, other duties as assigned.

Hours are Monday through Friday

Education:   High school diploma. Phlebotomy certificate preferred.

Experience:  Minimum one year of phlebotomy experience. Certification as medical assistant preferred but not required

Phone Room Operator

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
